My Story — Sangam Das

I am an independent inventor from Kolkata, West Bengal, far from major tech hubs or VC ecosystems. With a B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering, I became deeply concerned about how digital systems enable ad-tech profiling, IoT surveillance, cross-border data leakage, and election manipulation. I wanted a world where privacy is technically enforced, not just promised on paper.

For 369 days and 9 hours, I worked alone with a single laptop — no funding, no team, no legal advisors. Every night, I drafted case studies and technical designs that eventually shaped the Virtual Identity (VI) + Compliance Jurisdiction Token (CJT) architecture, a protocol-level system that makes privacy, consent, jurisdiction, and lawful-purpose enforcement cryptographically verifiable.

Unable to afford attorneys, I self-drafted and filed 550+ patent claims at WIPO. The Government of India’s 90% fee reduction made this possible.

My journey proves that world-changing ideas can begin anywhere — even in Balasore.
